Beginners Bootcamp June 2026

Welcome to the Beginners Bootcamp, a 4-week journey to mastering the art of sewing.

In Week 1, you will be introduced to sewing machines and overlockers, learning how to thread, wind bobbins, and adjust tension. Safety, maintenance, and troubleshooting will also be covered to ensure confident operation of the machines.

In Week 2, we will explore different fabric types and properties, including care instructions. Cutting and preparing fabric pieces will be the hands-on activity for the week to prepare your fabric for your final projects. 

Week 3 will focus on reading and understanding sewing patterns, practicing pattern markings, and learning how to trace patterns and make adjustments.

By the final week, participants will have the skills to complete their projects, including mastering finishing techniques and troubleshooting any challenges that may arise.

$199 for the full course including machines and all supplies. 

This class runs for 4 Tuesdays from 6pm-8pm at 47a Buick Street, Petone.
